The project consisted of the construction of an Integrated Care for Older Persons(ICPOP) accommodation extension at The Community Hospital of the Assumption, Castlemeadows, Gortataggart, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

The works were commissioned at short notice at the beginning of March 2020 as part of the Health Service Executive’s Covid 19 emergency planning and were constructed under Covid-19 Crisis Works Building Control Regulations 2020 (STATUTORY INSTRUMENTS. S.I. No. 112 of 2020 and S.I. No. 113 of 2020). The programme for delivery of the work from initial design through to completion was five months. Design works commenced on 18th March 2020. The commencement date of the works on site was 27th March 2020. The works were deemed substantially complete on 27th August.

Fortress Planning were part of the Design Team fulfilling roles of Assigned Certifier and PSDP.
