The project consisted of demolishing the existing front building and constructing a new modern facade which both paid homage to the original structure but was also to stand apart as unique and fresh thus following in the footsteps of the most prominent building in Ireland, The Rock of Cashel.
The new entrance building consists of public toilets, disabled wc, radio station, booking offices, meeting rooms, lift, balcony, green room, conference room, utility plant room and store rooms Fortress Planning successfully designed the building and were instrumental in securing Grant from South Tipperary Development Company for the construction project.
Fortress Planning was successful in obtaining full planning permission, Fire Safety Certificate (F.S.C.) and Disability Access Certificate (D.A.C.) for both the new and existing community hall building.
